He made this statement at the Saudi Investment Forum’s special session. Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, and Abdullah Al-Swaha, the Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, also attended the meeting. Humanoid robots, according to Elon Musk, will be the “biggest invention” of the next period. He added that their anticipated capabilities will reshape the labor market and open up previously unheard-of opportunities in the industrial and service sectors. He clarified that by changing production and boosting economic efficiency, these robots will not only symbolize technical growth but also play a significant role in lowering world poverty.
According to Musk, there will be a twofold increase in demand for digital infrastructure and intelligent solutions as the globe moves closer to a technology revolution. Musk stated that during the next 20 years, there would be a significant change in how people think about employment and money due to the quick development of AI and humanoid robotics. He predicted that in ten to twenty years, people will no longer need to work; instead, it will be an elective activity, much like working out or pursuing personal interests. The conventional significance of money would be much diminished, he continued, since intelligent robots will be able to carry out the majority of production and service-related duties more effectively and at a lower cost.
Musk cautioned that the significance and value of currencies may significantly decline as automated productivity increases and global economies change. Elon Musk also disclosed plans for a significant technological project in collaboration with NVIDIA and Humane, emphasizing that Saudi Arabia has become a prominent contender in the race to build AI infrastructure, making it a top choice for next initiatives with worldwide implications.
