To protect the public from fraudsters’ deceptive attempts, the National Cyber Crime Agency (NCCIA) has released a new year’s advisory on internet scams. As the new year approaches, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) issued a significant public advisory advising people to exercise caution because online scammers may try to trick them. According to the organization, residents frequently receive numerous links and messages as New Year’s celebrations draw near. In this regard, the public has been cautioned by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency to exercise caution and safeguard themselves against fraud related to the New Year. The notice claims that phony celebratory links and messages promising phony presents are making the rounds in relation to the New Year.

An emergency protocol was previously released by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency to help users in the event that their WhatsApp accounts are compromised. Due to an increase in WhatsApp account hacking, emergency procedures have been implemented. NCCIA officials advise you to re-register your account right away if it is compromised, you lose access, or you think someone else is using it. This entails removing and reinstalling WhatsApp. Enter your phone number to log in. An SMS with a six-digit verification number will be sent to you; you must input it right away. Officials clarified that since WhatsApp only permits one active session per device at a time, entering this code will automatically log the hacker out of your account.

WhatsApp may compel you to wait seven days if the hacker has set “Two-Step Verification” and you are unaware of the PIN. During this time, users are recommended not to worry. The hacker is logged out after you enter the SMS verification code (Step 1), and during the waiting period, nobody can access or read your messages.
