PM Shehbaz and Field Marshal Asim Munir meet with the Saudi Crown Prince

“It was a great pleasure and honor to meet my brother, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in Riyadh today,” Prime Minister Shehbaz wrote in a post on X. He continued, “I continue to be incredibly appreciative of His Royal Highness’s personal dedication and unwavering support in advancing our shared vision for deeper collaboration and prosperity for our two nations and peoples.” Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), was also present at the gathering. Prime Minister Shehbaz and his colleagues were cordially welcomed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman upon their arrival at the Al Yamamah Palace.

At the Crown Prince’s invitation, Prime Minister Shehbaz is in Saudi Arabia on an official visit. He will attend the 9th Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference, which has as its topic “The Key to Prosperity: Unveiling the New Frontiers of Growth,” while traveling. In order to address important topics like innovation, sustainability, economic inclusion, and geopolitical shifts, the conference will bring together world leaders, investors, legislators, and innovators. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will meet with Saudi authorities to explore ways to improve trade, investment, energy, and human resource development, the Foreign Office said. During the visit, topics of mutual interest on a regional and global level will also be discussed.

On the fringes of the conference, the Prime Minister will also meet with heads of international organizations and other nations’ leaders to discuss Pakistan’s investment potential and sustainable development vision, the spokesperson added.
