The Pre-owned Boat Show has opened at Dubai Creek Marina, Park Hyatt Resort, and will run for three days, bringing together more than fifty global brands. Visitors can explore over fifty yachts and boats, with a total value of more than Dhs200 million.
This exhibition confirms Dubai’s position as a top regional hub for leisure marine innovation and the pre-owned boat market.
The opening saw the participation of senior officials, industry leaders, and company representatives. The event expects over 5,000 visitors, including investors, boating fans, and potential buyers looking for luxury yachts and boats. Guests can see a variety of high-quality, competitively priced pre-owned vessels.
Dubai’s maritime sector is showing strong growth. Recent reports from the Dubai Maritime Authority reveal that the number of registered vessels in 2024 rose by 14.4% to 7,738, compared to 2023. Maritime crew numbers also jumped by 22.8%, reaching 12,226, demonstrating the sector’s continued expansion and confidence in Dubai’s advanced maritime ecosystem. Dubai remains a global hub for maritime innovation and sustainability.
Abdulla Ali Al Noon highlighted that the Pre-owned Boat Show builds Dubai’s reputation as an international center for marine enthusiasts and the yacht community, as well as a key spot for trade and investment in pre-owned boats. The exhibition, a major event in the regional marine calendar, follows the theme “A Boat for Everyone,” reflecting the focus on making boating accessible to all with choices for every budget. It also supports financing and sustainability in Dubai’s maritime economy.
Al Noon added the strong turnout by companies and visitors demonstrates the confidence in Dubai’s leadership and its role in the leisure marine sector.
The Middle East recreational boating market is set to grow to $2.95 billion by 2027, with an annual growth rate of 4.9%. This rise comes from better marine infrastructure, a growing number of wealthy individuals, and steady progress in marine tourism. The Pre-owned Boat Show supports this growth, boosting market value and sales, and helping attract investment while matching Dubai’s goal to expand and maintain the marine sector.
The Show encourages the use of pre-owned boats, cutting the need for new builds and supporting the UAE’s circular economy through reuse.
The exhibition’s opening day drew a big crowd, reinforcing its status on the regional and international marine events calendar. It’s a leading platform for those interested in leisure boating and investment.
For those new to boating, this year’s edition offers a complete experience. Choices range from 20 to over 100 feet boats, and the event includes financing, insurance, maintenance, and marine spare parts and accessories, helping buyers make clear decisions. Experts are on-site to guide visitors through buying, registering, and insuring, making ownership easier for both first-time buyers and seasoned owners.
Sponsored by DexNet, the show also features a retail zone where visitors can discover the latest water sports accessories and advanced marine equipment, including smart navigation systems, electric and hybrid engines, and sustainable marine products. These features strengthen the show’s position as the top spot for new technologies and marine innovation.
The exhibition remains open on Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., offering a special chance to connect with leading brands and discover business prospects in Dubai’s maritime industry, boosting the city’s status as a global leader in the marine sector.
