During his first week at FCI Fort Dix in early November, Combs was reportedly observed consuming homemade booze. The team of disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is refuting accusations that he was seen using homemade booze while incarcerated. The 56-year-old musician was allegedly discovered ingesting a fermented concoction of sugar, apples, and Fanta soda inside the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey, where he was just relocated, according to TMZ. According to the outlet, after the event, administrators thought about transferring him to a different unit but finally decided against it.
In a response to PEOPLE, Combs’ representative refuted the story, stating, “There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs.” He hasn’t broken any prison regulations. He is prioritizing and taking seriously his sobriety and self-discipline. The message went on, “This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix.” Regretfully, rumors will circulate while he is there. We kindly request that the public and media give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to concentrate on his own development, and the grace to proceed peacefully.
On Saturday, Combs sent a similar message on his official X account, denouncing the story as “completely false” and stressing that he is still focused on “becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family.” Combs was found guilty on two charges of transportation to participate in prostitution and given a 50-month jail sentence in October. On October 30, he was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to the low-security Fort Dix facility after his legal team complained about the conditions there. Because Fort Dix offers drug rehab programs, Combs’ attorneys requested that he be moved there. Judge Arun Subramanian, who sentenced Combs, also suggested that he receive treatment for substance usage.
