A Nusuk permit is now required, and reservations for Roza-e-Rasool visits are typically only allowed once a year. The Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Roza (tomb) in Al Masjid-e-Nabawi and the offering of nawafil (voluntary prayers) in Riazul Jannah now have different timetables for men and women, and entrance is controlled via the Nusuk platform. Permits must be requested through Nusuk, according to the Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. Reservations are often accepted once a year or via the “Instant Track” option when worshippers are close to the Prophet Muhammad’s Mosque.
The southern courtyards in front of Makkah Gate 37 are the designated entrance to the Noble Roza-e-Rasool; senior guests may use manual wheelchairs to enter. On ordinary days, men will be able to visit from 2:00 am until the Fajr prayer and again from 11:20 am until the Isha prayer. According to the Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, male visitors would have three slots on Fridays: from 2:00 am until Fajr, from 9:20 am to 11:20 am, and from after the Jummah prayer until Isha.
On usual days, women’s visits will take place from after Isha until 2:00am and from after Fajr until 11:00am. According to Saudi authorities, women will be permitted to do the ziyarah (visit) on Fridays from after the Fajr prayer until 9:00am, in addition to the customary nighttime window from after Isha until 2:00am.
