Sales of Deepika Padukone’s 82°E skincare line are declining, and losses are growing

The company has declared in its most recent filings that it is trying to reduce expenses to ensure successful sales, but other from a decline in losses, nothing has changed thus far. As the legal entity of 82°E, Deepika Padukone and her father, Prakash Padukone, own and manage DPKA Universal Consumer Ventures Private Limited. According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ most recent statistics, 82°E lost 12.26 crore Indian rupees in the fiscal year 2024–2025. The company’s income dropped by more than 30%, from Indian rupees 21.21 crore in 2023–2024 to Indian rupees 14.66 crore in 2024–2025, according to the documents.

The fact that the loss was 82°E less than it was in the previous fiscal year is fantastic news for Deepika’s company. In 2023–2024, the company lost almost 23 crore Indian rupees. In the MCA filings, the corporation stated that its spending had decreased. The statement stated, “The management is continuously taking efforts to increase the revenue and reduce expenses to ensure it has a profitable track record.” This is demonstrated by the company’s decline in market spending. From Indian rupees 20 crore the previous year to barely Indian rupees 4.4 crore in 2024–2025, the company’s market expenditure fell precipitously by 78%. Additionally, the total amount spent dropped from 47 crore Indian rupees to just under 26 crore Indian rupees.

Deepika launched the upscale skincare line 82°E in 2021. It offers a large range of products up to 2500 Indian rupees. However, Deepika’s substantial social media following and marketing campaigns haven’t helped the business turn a profit since its founding. In stark contrast, Katrina Kaif’s Kay Beauty has claimed huge earnings in addition to a rise in sales since its 2019 launch.
