The relationship between Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie raises questions

Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie

Jacob Elordi plays Heathcliff in the much awaited film rendition of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, while Margot Robbie plays Catherine. Both leads have openly discussed their collaborative experiences during the promotional campaign as the movie gets ready for its theatrical premiere next month. Warmly praising her co-star, Margot Robbie acknowledged that she grew practically “codependent” with Elordi on set, pointing out that he was a dependable and encouraging presence. Even this heated interaction was acknowledged by director Emerald Fennell, who joked that she sometimes had to persuade Robbie to give Elordi some space since the actress felt “unnerved” or “lost” when he wasn’t watching her perform.

Elordi echoed the idea, calling Margot Robbie a “mutual obsession” and complimenting her as a “elite actor.” Elordi’s casting has drawn criticism from certain fans despite the chemistry because Heathcliff is typically depicted in the book with a significantly darker complexion and a “foreign” appearance. Margot Robbie defended the decision, telling people to watch the movie before making a judgment, according to The Independent. Although their private lives reveal a different picture, several fans have conjectured about the couple’s personal relationship due to their tremendous regard for one another. In October 2024, Margot Robbie and her spouse, British producer and assistant director Tom Ackerley, welcomed their first child, a son. Jacob Elordi, 28, is allegedly unmarried after splitting with socialite Olivia Jade Giannulli at the end of last year. Elordi has a well-known dating history that includes romances with Kaia Gerber, Joey King, and Zendaya.
