Hollywood superstar Will Smith will headline the Sharjah International Book Fair 2025 in the UAE, taking place from November 5 to 16 at Expo Center Sharjah. The Oscar-winning actor and musician is set to appear as a guest speaker on November 14, where he will share his humor and insights on life and creativity.
Will Smith is no stranger to the Middle East. He has visited the region multiple times, expressing his love for its culture and hospitality. From skydiving over Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah to celebrating wedding anniversaries in the city with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, Smith has explored countless landmarks across the UAE. In 2023, he also attended Saudi Arabia’s inaugural AlUla Camel Cup, strengthening his connection to the region.
Now in its 44th edition, the Sharjah International Book Fair returns with the theme “Between You and a Book.” This premier literary event will feature over 2,350 publishers from 118 countries and host more than 1,200 activities and 750 workshops for readers of all ages.
This year’s fair welcomes a star-studded lineup of global literary figures, including Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Italian physicist and bestselling writer Carlo Rovelli, Irish novelist and Booker Prize winner Paul Lynch, and Indian content creator Prajakta Koli. Renowned Arab and Emirati personalities, such as poet and filmmaker Nujoom Al Ghanem, historian Dr. Hamad bin Seray, and famous Egyptologist Zahi Hawass, will also be featured.
