William, Prince. Kate Middleton relocates to Forest Lodge, her “forever home.”

Kate Middleton and Prince William have moved out of their three-year residence. Kate Middleton and Prince William have moved into their new home. The Prince and Princess of Wales now live at the eight-bedroom Forest Lodge instead of Adelaide Cottage. The relocation takes place before to William’s lone trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for his yearly Earthshot Prize Awards. The rent has risen over the last 20 years, according to property expert Russell Quirk, who told Manchester Evening News that William and Kate are probably paying the Crown Estate about £30,000 a month.

According to Mirror, Russell stated, “In the last 20 or so years, these things vary region to region, town to town, but suffice to say the likes of Windsor have become ever more popular, particularly with overseas renters.” He continued by saying, “What has happened over recent years in the previous government and this one is that the stamp duty regime on purchases has come more and more penal and the consequence is now a lot of people are renting instead of buying because they don’t want to pay on a property like that – say a £1 million on stamp duty.”

“There is a lot of demand in the rental market. As a result, the property’s rent value has likely doubled, meaning that what was £15,000 per month in 2001 is now likely £30,000 per month, or almost £7,000 per week. There is a huge amount of demand, so it’s not insignificant, Russell said.
